Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) is in search of a highly innovative, motivated and dynamic individual to oversee our University Transfer Center. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Student Services or designee, the Career and Transfer Counselor/Director will develop and manage programs and services that support student career exploration, major and career planning, and transfer to four-year institutions, ensuring equity and success for all students and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Transfer Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
A medical certificate indicating fitness to engage in administrative work is required for new employees at the applicant's expense prior to employment.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT: COVID 19 VACCINATION
Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with the LACCD Board of Trustees' policy. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination status prior to starting a position or, at the latest, by their position start date
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with the Dean of Pathways and Student Affairs the Counselor/Director will:

WORK SCHEDULE
35 Hours Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in person; and Friday 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. remote
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The annual salary range is $84,120 to $150,160 with a doctorate degree and may be eligible for a doctoral degree differential of $4,870 per academic year. The selected candidate will be placed on the salary schedule for that class at a pay period rate which, including applicable differentials and increments, is closest to five percent above the salary rate to which the employee was entitled in his/her former class or position, in accordance with LACCD Board Rule 10509. Final salary placement occurs after the selected candidate has completed the hiring clearance process. An excellent benefits package which includes medical, vision, dental and life insurance is available for the employee and eligible dependents. Benefits include 15.5 paid holidays annually, 15-24 days paid vacation annually depending on length of District service, medical/hospital, dental and vision care plans and a $50,000 group life insurance policy.

1. Letter of interest that describes the applicant's interest in the position and details why the applicant is a good fit for the position;
2. Current resume that summarizes how the applicant meets the qualifications of the position;
3. A list of references including the names, titles, address, telephone numbers and e-mail of individuals who can assess the candidate's qualifications for the position;
4. Copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts; if invited to interview, candidate should be prepared to provide official transcripts; All degrees must be granted by an accredited college or university in the United States. Transcripts from a foreign institution must be submitted with an approved evaluation of equivalency from a foreign evaluation service approved by California Commission on Teaching Credentialing.
All required documentation must be filed electronically no later than 4:30 p.m. December 6, 2025. Faxed, emailed, or mailed items will not be accepted.
EVALUATION PROCEDURES:
1. A college selection committee will review all completed and approved applications received. The committee screening will evaluate the candidate's qualifications in training, experience, and personal fitness as determined from the application package and recommendations from referents.
2. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview following the committee screening.
