Job Description:
The Natural Sciences Division is seeking adjunct instructors to teach general biology lecture and lab courses, human biology lecture and lab courses, and biotechnology lecture and lab courses on campus or at dual enrollment sites for the Fall 2025 semester and beyond.
Courses to teach include BIOL 101F, BIOL 102F, BIOL 102LF, BIOL 190F, BIOL 190LF (Biology/NatSci).
Primary Purpose:
Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.
Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters in any biological science
OR
Bachelors in any biological science
AND
Masters in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science
OR
Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area;
OR
The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

MS or advanced degree in biology, cellular biology, developmental biology, ecology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or allied fields

Working Conditions:
Salary Range: $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lecture unit rate, $1391.74 - $1527.30 per lab parity unit rate, $1113.42 - $1221.77 per lab unit rate

Special Instructions Summary:
This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.
This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
