Job Description:
This position is based on grant funding.


Primary Purpose:
Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy or marriage, family and child counseling,

OR

The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Commitment to diversity. All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity minded practices within the classroom.

(NOTE: A bachelors degree in one of the listed degrees and a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline.)


Desirable Qualifications:
Sensitivity to and appreciation of the particular needs and challenges of formerly incarcerated and system impacted students.

Experience with developing, coordinating, and presenting workshops and orientations to current and prospective students.

Provide advocacy to expand the reach of resources to formerly incarcerated and system impacted students.

Bilingual Spanish/English.

Demonstrated success in assisting students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, former/current foster youth, system impacted students, speakers of other languages, and students with disabilities.


Working Conditions:


Salary Range: $63.62 - $69.81 per hour

Close Date: 06/04/2025

Special Instructions Summary:
This recruitment will remain active until the closing date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.

This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
