JOB DESCRIPTION

JOUR 210 - Multimedia Journalism - Spring 2026 - in-person or online
For JOUR 210, students learn basic photography, audio and video production skills, and produce multimedia projects following the tenets and ethical practices of journalism.
We have multiple podcast studios, a multimedia/video studio, and industry-level photo/audio/video equipment for students to use in their reporting. The candidate(s) would design their own syllabi and train students in use of necessary technology, and teach courses with both lecture and lab hours. The journalism/radio department can offer support in terms of curriculum development and tech support.
Instructors will get access to the Adobe Creative Suite and Fullerton College library resources, as well as the option for paid office hours. Those who teach at least 6 units per semester (approximately two classes) have access to health insurance under the current adjunct faculty bargaining contract.

Minimum Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Masters in journalism or communication with a specialization in journalism
OR
Bachelors in either of the above
AND
Masters in English, history, communication, literature, composition, comparative literature, any social science, business, business administration, marketing, graphics or photography
OR
Masters in journalism or communication with a specialization in journalism

Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.

Working Conditions:
Salary Range: $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1258.16 - $1380.60 per lab unit rate
