EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
Santa Rosa Junior College is currently accepting applications to establish a pool for part-time associate faculty assignments. Associate assignments are temporary, part-time or on-call. This job posting is not for a specific assignment or for a full-time faculty position, but rather to establish a pool of candidates who may be considered for part-time faculty assignments.

SRJC is a public two-year community college, which serves the County of Sonoma and portions of Marin and Mendocino counties. The District has two campuses, located in Santa Rosa and Petaluma, California, two centers, a Public Safety Training Center located in Windsor, California, and the Robert Shone Agricultural Center located in Forestville, California, and our newest site in the Roseland area of the City of Santa Rosa. Essential Functions
SELECTION PROCESS:
Candidates who are recommended for the pool after committee interviews will be added to the pool for disciplines interviewed and deemed qualified for (screening/interviewing committees will confirm disciplines that candidates are qualified for).
Applications are accepted for associate faculty pools on a continuous basis. If the department has an immediate need to add candidates to their pool, they will review applications. If the department does not have an immediate need to add candidates to their pool, applications remain in the queue for consideration until the need arises, or for up to one year.
If selected for interview, candidates will be invited to interview with a Screening and Interviewing Committee. The Committee may include representatives consisting of Faculty, Administrators, and Classified Professionals. Students may also participate in the committee selection process as determined by the Screening and Interviewing Committee. For candidates who are recommended for the pool, references will be checked at any point beyond the committee interview. If selected for the pool, candidates remain in the pool for four years.
Santa Rosa Junior College does not reimburse candidates for expenses related to associate faculty interviews. Requests for remote interviews or other accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Work Experience Department oversees several SRJC courses: Work Experience, Internship, and Community Involvement. Our goal is to link classroom learning with on-the-job experiences, providing students with 21st century skills, also known as "soft skills", as well as, employment skills, career knowledge, and the ability to set goals and assess work-related learning outcomes. Our courses provide work-based learning opportunities and transferable college credit. Because students work in virtually every type of business and organization, we utilize instructors with a wide variety of backgrounds and educational specialties. Instructors work one-on-one with students at the job site to create and evaluate performance on work-based learning objectives. Travel required with reimbursement for gasoline.

Minimum Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for Work Experience Instructors or Coordinators are the minimum qualifications for any discipline in which work experience may be provided at the college.
Required for Administration of Justice, Business Administration (Hotel and Motel Services/Hospitality courses only), Office Technologies, Computer & Information Systems (Microcomputer courses only), Construction Management/Technology, and Culinary Arts/Food Technology:
Bachelor's degree AND two years full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in the discipline; OR an Associate's degree AND six years full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in the discipline; OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Instructor's Credential authorizing services in the disciplines of interest.
Required for Agriculture (General): add degree' before each area below
Master's in Agriculture, Agriculture Science, Education with a specialization in Agriculture or other agricultural area (including: Agricultural Business, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Mechanics, Agronomy, Animal Science, Enology, Environmental (Ornamental) Horticulture, Equine Science, Forestry, Natural Resources, Plant Science, Pomology, Soil Science, Viticulture or other Agriculture Science); OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Instructor's Credential in Agricultural Services and Processing.
Required for Agricultural Production (Animal Science/Environmental Horticulture and Environmental Technologies (Sustainable Agriculture):
Bachelor's degree AND two years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) related experience; OR an Associate's degree AND six years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) related experience; OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Instructor's Credential in Agricultural Services and Processing or Animal Production (as appropriate).
Required for Business Administration:
Master's Degree in Business, Business Management, Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, or Business Education; OR Bachelor's degree in any of the previous areas AND Master's Degree in Economics, Personnel Management, Public Administration, or JD or LL.B. degree; OR Bachelor's Degree in Economics with a Business emphasis AND Master's Degree in Personnel Management, Public Administration, or JD or LL.B. degree; OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (life) California Community College Instructor's Credential in Business & Industrial Management.
Required for Child Development:
Master's Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Home Economics/Family and Consumer Studies with a specialization in Child Development/Early Childhood Education; Educational Psychology with a specialization in Child Development/Early Childhood Education; OR Bachelor's degree in any of the previous areas AND Master's Degree in Social Work, Educational Supervision, Elementary Education, Special Education, Psychology, Bilingual/Bicultural Education, Life Management/Home Economics, Family Life Studies, or Family or Consumer Studies; OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Instructor's Credential authorizing services in Nursery School & Pre-school education, OR Professional Education.
Required for Computer Science: add degree' before each area below
Master's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in Mathematics, Cybernetics, Business Administration, Accounting or Engineering OR Bachelor's in Engineering AND Master's in Cybernetics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Administration OR Bachelor's in Mathematics AND Master's in Cybernetics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Administration OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND a Master's degree in Information Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Systems OR the equivalent.
Required for Health Sciences:
Master's degree in Nursing and a California Public Health Nurse certificate; OR Bachelor's degree in Nursing, a California Public Health Nurse certificate, and a Master's degree in Health Education, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Health Care Administration, Public Health or Community Health (NOTE: Other health services personnel shall not be subject to statewide minimum qualifications; however, all personnel shall possess appropriate valid, current licensure or certification to practice in California when required by law. Ancillary personnel shall work under appropriate supervision when required by their license laws.)
Required for Counseling:
Master's Degree in Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Guidance Counseling, Educational Counseling, Social Work, or Career Development, Marriage and Family Therapy or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling; OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Counselor's Credential.
(NOTE: A Bachelor's degree in one of the listed degrees and license as a Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT) is an alternative qualification for this discipline)
