Work Schedule: Varies. Employees must reside in California while employed with NOCCCD, even during remote work.

Job Description:
Schedules will be arranged according to the Library's needs and individual availability with no guaranteed number of assigned hours. Preference will be given to applicants with flexible schedules. Schedules may include days and/or evenings.

Primary Purpose:
Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.

Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's in library science, library and information science
OR

the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Desirable Qualifications:
Recent work experience or internship in a college or public library in reference and library instruction.

Demonstrated success in helping students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.

Special Instructions Summary: This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.

This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
