ADJUNCT FY25 - GRAPHIC DESIGN INSTRUCTOR

INTRODUCTION:
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is the largest community college district in the United States and one of the largest in the world. POSITION
The LACCD is accepting applications for Adjunct Graphic Design positions at our colleges for the 2024 2025 Academic School Year. The purpose of this posting is to create a pool of qualified applicants so that when there is an actual opening at a one of our colleges, the college can then begin their review process by reviewing those applicants.
The LACCD is seeking dynamic, motivated and diverse candidates for part-time faculty positions to engage and educate our students. Successful candidates will collaborate, communicate and work as professionals with students, staff, faculty and administrators. Applicants with a demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population are strongly encouraged to apply.
During completion of the adjunct application, applicants will have the opportunity to indicate which of LACCD's colleges are of interest for employment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirements below as described in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty in the California Community Colleges Handbook for teaching a Graphic Design course:
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT COVID 19 VACCINATION:
Health: A medical certificate indicating fitness to instruct or associate with students is required at the applicant's expense after selection from an eligible list and prior to employment.
Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. LACCD employees are required to provide their vaccination status in compliance with the LACCD Board of Trustees' policy. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination status prior to starting a position or, at the latest, by their position start date.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

COMPENSATION
The salary schedule for adjunct instructors begins at $85.09 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $19.91 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.

3. Portfolio of ten images of your work and ten images of your students' work. (PDF or hyperlinks are acceptable)
4. Transcripts of all college work. (Unofficial copies are acceptable for application. Official transcripts are required upon offer of employment. Employment is contingent upon verification of qualifications. Foreign transcripts must include a U.S. evaluation and translation at the time of application.) 5. Three recent signed letters of recommendation (including phone/email contact information).
